Woke means a lot of things to a lot of people and I choose to reclaim the meaning of it. It’s about being sensitive to the needs of others. Being a good person. Giving your friends and neighbors the best shot at a better life. I also think it means being informed and educated about how others have experienced their lives. Being woke is important and needed in the days we live in.
I won’t argue about this and if you disagree that is your problem.
It’s very OK to be corny.
Nothing wrong with dreaming big but reality can be the wet blanket that keeps one grounded. Heads in the clouds are good but life can bring you back to earth. Maybe there is a balance that can be found between dreaming and reality.

She is in every sense of the word an icon. Thank you Tina for what you meant to millions in your superstar career. Rest in power Anna Mae Bullock from Nutbush, Tennessee. The stars and heavens will hear your song tonight.
