Too Much Flash And Awe #Instagram #Twitter #WordPress #Facebook

Storytelling can be as basic as sharing a tale around a dinner table or in front of a roaring fire. It can be as complex as an app on your computer or phone with all its bells and whistles. It’s my philosophy that the more something does the less good it is at performing any one task well and that goes for websites and apps like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and even WordPress. Maybe the basics where its about text, images, videos and audio presented simply can get the point across. Innovation is great but when it makes sense and can be of help to the end user. You know, there is such a thing as too much flash and awe.

Android Update On My Google Pixel XL On Verizon

My Google Pixel XL on the Verizon network got an update to Android 8.1 this morning. Things look and function a little different than before. Every update I’ve experienced with Android phones has been a positive one. Looking forward to what future software updates will do.

Engineer Neil Papworth sent the first SMS on December 3rd, 1992, when he wrote “merry Christmas” on a computer and sent it to the cellphone of Vodafone director Richard Jarvis. Texting has radically changed the way we communicate. Used to be you passed a paper note back and forth. Sometimes I prefer it to voice communications. It’s so amazing how far we have come though in the past 25 years where we send photos and other media too.

I make phone calls for a living and I used a computer based phone system. This headset is something I use daily. Without it my job would be very difficult.

Mystery Instagram Followers

For those on Instagram do you have a problem with mystery followers who seem to be spam-like and don’t have a conventional username? I get them frequently. Some promise more followers and others are kind of racy and sexy. I guess there are people on the Internet who want to exploit more than genuinely connect with others in a meaningful way. It’s kind of frustrating and annoying. But it’s a part of the web experience.
