Thirty-two years ago The Breakfast Club assembled for the first time and a movie classic built on timeless teen angst and coming of age was born. This movie came out when I was a teenager back in the 1980’s and it is a movie for all generations. The video above features the last scenes of the movie to the music of Simple Minds “Don’t You Forget About Me”.

This song was all over the place back when I was in high school. It has also made a comeback as a part of the modern meme scene. When you listen to this tune it hooks you instantly. It’s one of the classic hits of the era.
This song has some serious staying power. It’s frequently played on a local radio station and other places. It’s from the 1980’s but it seems to have a timeless feel to it. Every good pop/rock song does.

Hard to believe one week ago it was New Year’s Eve. Where has the time gone? Really!
