Global Followers

I appreciate all my fellow bloggers who are following me here from around the globe. One thing I love about this thing called blogging is how we can be connected in a very unique way. We can discover more about ourselves by seeing the lives of people from different places from Australia to Zimbabwe and inbetween. My world view has been expanded by some great bloggers who have shown me the places they call home and in their communities. I wish you peace and grace my friends from far away. I hope and pray for peace and that we will have the freedom to keep on blogging no matter where we are.

Dear Followers, Thank You!

I believe you can never be too thankful for those who take time to read your posts. We have things we need to say and this is how we say it. Sometimes you can’t read them all because there is a overabundance of goodness on your reader or dashboard. Time is valuable and there isn’t enough of it to do everything you want in life and online. My friends I want you to know you inform, inspire and enlighten me as a blogger and I hope to return the favor. Keep on blogging.

Share, Blogging Style

Reading your posts is something I enjoy doing. Getting a glimpse into your lives is a study in our common humanity. It helps me to know we are all in in this thing called life together. You pour your hearts and soul out to share what you are thinking and feeling and I think that’s awesome. Every word matters and you say it with moxie. Blogging is our way of informing the world who we are and where we come from. What makes us different can bring us together. Keep on blogging good people. Words, pix, video, audio it is a how we express ourselves here. Continue to share your story and your corner of the globe.

Hello Good People

How is your Sunday going? I have been lazy all afternoon after getting home from church. We went to get some lunch afterwards at our favorite Chinese/Japanese/sushi place. This has been a great day of chilling. I created a new blog in order to create a closer community with people from Tumblr I really like. These people are a part of my blogging experience and I wanted to include them in my blogging on WordPress and in other places. I could also use that blog for other purposes too. Sometimes you have to start fresh online. So to everyone at Tumblr and WordPress I say I appreciate you all!

Making Order of Ones Contacts

I have come to the realization that I follow a lot of people on various platforms of social media and blogging. When visiting those sites, I ask myself where do I know them from…Tumblr, WordPress, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Those situations remind me I can’t keep up with everyone. Maybe its the extrovert in me wanting to make as many contacts as possible, that is what makes me good at my job.

My brother-in-law has thousands of contacts on Facebook alone, he knows a lot of people having worked as a educator for a long time. Some people are just more social than others. Every person you meet online is a person, more than just a profile.

For me its contacts I have made through blogging networks and being a part of groups of various sorts. Someone has probably developed an app to help keep your contacts organized and to tell you where you know them from. As in anything in life you will develop a core group of people who will be interested in having a meaningful friendship with you, people who will like what you post and be concerned about you in general. Having a online life can be challenging, but its important for real world interactions with folks from your online life. Putting flesh to those who you know digitally is important.

My Dilemma

A lot of people blog here on WordPress and Tumblr. however it can be difficult to keep up with both. When there are enough digital and social network distractions out there I am wondering how to navigate both platforms. I have loads of friends on Tumblr but I am enjoying some new contacts here. This is where some meaningful blogging is happening. Perhaps settling on one would be best. What would you do? How do you manage all your platforms without ignoring the people who matter in your “real life”….
