Wow! Nineteen Years With WordPress

I missed this notification yesterday that I have been with WordPress.com for nineteen years. The old saying is very true, time flies when you are blogging. I am grateful for the staff and crew behind WordPress and for everyone who has followed me over the years. Here’s to many more years of posting and connecting. Happy blogiversary to me! Peace to all of us.

April Fools’ Day Is Cancelled

I declare that due to all the weird crap and stuff going on, that April Fools’ Day is hereby cancelled. I think we all need a break from the foolishness going on these days from those in high offices. No need for pranks today.

I Should Spend More Time With WordPress Reader

I have sadly neglected the WordPress reader where I can connect with fellow bloggers. Lately I have been constantly doomscrolling on Threads and BlueSky. Those sites are proving to be a constant stream of bad news. My lack of attention here is something I do regret. Your blogs are important, and I should do better by you this wonderful community of creative authors and thinkers and contemplative writers.

East Tennessee Episcopal Convention 2025

Each February the Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee holds its annual convention. This year it was held at the Episcopal School of Knoxville. This event is where delegates from its member churches gather to renew friendships, make connections, and conduct business. My wife and I with our friend Tammy and our priest Fr. Drew were in attendance to represent our parish, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Chattanooga. It was good to get away overnight too. Here are a few snaps of our time there.
