When you talk about great writers you have to put Snoopy into the mix. His stories of action and adventure are well chronicled on the comic strip as well as TV specials. His stories of tangling with The Red Baron in World War I are that of legend. It’s cool when you see him up on his dog house with his blue manual typewriter clicking away at some important work. I feel he would make an awesome blogger too. Snoopy has a lot to write about and perhaps we can take a page from his book.

Writing Advice From A Fortune Cookie
As I said in my previous post we ate Asian food for dinner from our favorite nearby restaurant. In my fortune cookie it said…
Four basic premises of writing: clarity, brevity, simplicity and humanity.
I try to do all of these things but I am not always good at doing them. The advice here is sound and everyone can use it in their blogging or other writing. You could also throw a picture in or two to further tell the story.
Transitions
Beginnings and endings
Marriages and divorces
Comings and goings
Now and later
War then peace
More then less
Births and deaths
Life has transitions, everyone goes from one thing to another. People change and life goes on. Never forget we are on a moving planet with seasons and reasons for them. No one will live forever. Never forget.
Come Back To Posting and Creating In November and December
If you haven’t posted anything original in awhile make a point to do so starting in November and going through December. Both months are times to be grateful and to be generous. Enjoy creating new things and enjoy the fun of blogging again. One can also catch up on the blogs of others and offer them feedback too. Once you have started keep it up. Keep on blogging good people.
Deleting Your Blog, It Solves Nothing
A blog is a tool for expression, a way to share your feelings. I find it very therapeutic and recreational. For many their blog has become their voice when they have something to say.
Deleting your blog really solves nothing. The problem with deleting is that an important part of your life goes away. On a platform like WordPress where there are millions of other voices you have to be picky in who you listen to and how you relate to those people. Not everyone will be sensitive and caring online. I have discovered its best to restart and be selective to who you want to connect with.
I still very much believe in being original, myself and to say what I have to say myself. So with that being said I want others who do the same.
So to all those considering deleting your blogs, think again, resist that. Your blog can be your friend.
Have A Great Day
You never know what to say to someone who isn’t feeling it on any given day. Stuff is going on in their lives they are trying to get through but finding it tough. Saying “have a great day” sounds like pouring salt into a wound but you know there is a flip side to that. Maybe that person needs some encouragement to turn things around. Perhaps they need to know that there is light at the end of a dark tunnel. What they are going through is hopefully a short-term event and offering some hope is always a good thing. Being kind to someone in a unfortunate situation says something about who we are and is an opportunity to lift the load on someones heart and soul.
So everyone with all that being said…HAVE A GREAT DAY!
