Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Church On Zoom

Because of the Winter weather threat in the area, my church went on Zoom to have morning prayer. It turned out that the situation was not as serious as it could have been. This was reminiscent of the COVID era when everything was virtual. Thanks to technology, it’s good to have this option when necessary. It keeps some level of routine and connection with the Divine and community. Thanks to Fr. Drew and Deacon Kelly for making this happen this morning.

Status Update

Friends, things are tough right now. As a blogging community, let’s stick together and help each other figure stuff out. Our voices of calm and care are needed now more than ever. Peace and love to you all.

Something About Current Events

Another person was murdered in Minneapolis today. It’s a place that didn’t ask for the trouble it’s in right now.

A Winter storm is headed to our area. We are hunkering down for the next couple of days.

The United States is a horrible place because of our vile president and his government.

The world seems on fire. So much shit is going on.

Current events are sad, depressing, challenging.

I am feeling it all, and it’s a lot to deal with.

Somehow the Hunger Games movies are offering some comfort.

Lord have mercy.

Status Update

Hey gang it’s the weekend. It’s going to be crazy where I am with winter weather approaching. Take care of yourself and others good people.

New Earring Bling

I got a new earring today. This one is a little more noticeable than the first one. I like the way it looks and feels.

Lunch, From A Vending Machine

It’s time for some good old fashioned Cup of Noodles for lunch.
