My New Desk At Work

I moved to a new building for work and with that comes a new desk. This new setup will need some polish but it will do for now. This is a definite Monday flex.

Rest In Power President Jimmy Carter

President Jimmy Carter passed away on December 29, 2024. A son of Plains, Georgia he lived a life of a man of deep faith and love for his country and community. President Carter served as a sailor, statesman, and humanitarian. His legacy of service will resonate in eternity. Rest in power, President Carter. He made it to 100 years old and that is a great accomplishment. Go rest with the saints in your life who went on before. Godspeed good sir.

Clearing Up 2024

I don’t believe there is enough sage that can be burned to clear up 2024. It will require something much stronger that is more potent. Looking ahead 2025 is going to be worse.

Me And Nostalgia

Daily writing prompt
What makes you feel nostalgic?

We are in the Christmas season which is a hard time for me. Nostalgia is a powerful thing. Holiday memories come from a Christmas tree, church services, songs, food, gatherings, and more. All of those things can stir up emotions.

My father, grandfather, and grandmother are no longer with us. I miss them very much. They were a huge part of the holidays of the past and I so wish they were still with us.

Sure, nostalgia is present in other things and can trigger feelings under the surface. It’s like we all have things that make us pine for the things of the past. Nostalgia can be a great thing but it comes with a cost to your heart.

My Name Is Actually Tony

This makes my brain hurt and makes me want to throw something. Why would any parent do that to a child?

This is STOLEN Property

First, this listing is advertising STOLEN property. That shopping cart belongs to a store somewhere. Second, this cart is STOLEN and it isn’t in the best shape. The cart I’m sure is worth more but it’s still STOLEN property.
