Christmas Was Just Yesterday

Christmas Day was just yesterday (12/25) and I am having a hard time believing it. Seems like it was last week or something like that.

Happy Boxing Day – December 26th

Boxing Day, the traditionally British holiday recognized the day after Christmas, offers an extension of the festivities. People in countries like Canada, the U.K. and South Africa spend an extra day with friends, shopping or watching sports.

It’s origins come from a time during Queen Victoria’s reign when the rich used to box up gifts to give to the poor. Boxing Day was traditionally a day off for servants – a day when they received a special Christmas box from their masters. The servants would also go home on Boxing Day to give Christmas boxes to their families.

To all celebrating I hope it has been a good day of being with those you love and care about.

Happy Holidays For Real

There are eight days of Hanukkah. Twelve days of Christmas. Seven days of Kwanzaa. Not to mention New Year’s Eve and Day. There is lots of celebrating to do. Be safe, have fun, be blessed. God be with you all.

Wrestling Toys For Christmas

My missus gifted me professional wrestling toys from ALL ELITE WRESTLING for Christmas among other cool things. This is THE ICON STING and his former tag team partner Darby Allin. They were AEW tag team champions before Sting retired.

A Fresh Look For My Blog, Thanks To An Older Theme

I finished (for now) renovations on my blog. I am using the 2015 Default WordPress theme. It features a sidebar on the left instead of the more common right side. With some coding and creativity, you can make a 10-year-old theme look current. I used the Firefox browser to make all my edits and to research ways of manipulating the fonts and colors. It’s good to change things up every now and then. Please check it out when you have a moment.

The Reality Of The Season

For many out there this is not a happy time of year. There are many reasons the joy of the season is muted due to realities that are ever present. To those who are struggling know you are seen and loved. May you find peace to get through the holidays. May God be with us all no matter our circumstances. Peace on Earth. Goodwill to everyone.
