Something About Making A Decision

Style vs. substance. Performance over polish. Chocolate or vanilla. Pepsi or Coke.

In life there are things we must consider when making a decision. You could use one of those Venn diagrams to help you make your decision or just use a gut instinct. Either way you must have the facts lined up in order to make up your mind and hope for the best. This is where the rubber meets the road of adulting.

No matter what you decide you have to figure out what is the best for your situation at the time. The diagram above indicates that you might be able to have the best of both worlds but often times that isn’t so easy. Whatever is in your head can conquer what your heart wants. Checks and balances also play into every decision.

Whatever you have to decide take time for discernment, discussion and consultation before making a choice. Yes we all want A & B but sometimes C is where we should go.

There’s Nothing Happy About Tuesday

There’s nothing happy about Tuesdays. Absolutely nothing.

Working At Being Positive

I work to be a positive person but I do have my moments. Taking an anti-depressant has helped me as of late. Some folks strive to be real but it can be difficult because there unrealistic expectations placed upon many of us. Being a Debbie Downer is easy but sometimes its very unattractive. You do the best you can and deal with the negative as it comes and hope you can keep a smile on your face.

Harry Potter: Celebrating 20 Years Of The Philosophers/Sorcerers Stone

Today is the 20th anniversary of the publishing of the first Harry Potter book. The Philosopher’s Stone (Sorcerers Stone in the USA) was published on June 26, 1997. From that book came other books, movies and much more. You can experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios that brings Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley to life.

In the world we live in now we need people to be brave like Harry, Ron and Hermione. It’s that magic that can inspire us to be better people.

Thank you J.K. Rowling for bringing us magic that will last for generations. Your inspired work has made the world a better place.
