Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Howdy Newbies

To those who are new to my blog I appreciate your time and interest. I post about a lot of different things here. Personal reflections to pop culture, religion, food, current events and community. You will also see my Instagram pix too! I hope you will find something you like and that my blog can inspire you in some way. Keep on blogging my friends.

Reconnect

When a fellow blogger reconnects with you it’s a good thing. However you wonder if you posted something that drove them away, or was it a technical issue that severed the connection you thought you once had. I worry a little about such things. No one will post something everyone agrees with all the time, but you hope to build understanding and dialogue. Thanks again to all who follow me and my blog.

The Force Awakens Indeed, Star Wars Is New And Familiar

Wow, just wow! Star Wars: The Force Awakens did not disappoint, it was fabulous. I won’t spoil the story for anyone but this was a terrific episode to take the franchise into the future. With younger heroes carrying on a time honored movie tradition we see good things ahead. JJ Abrams could have really screwed things up but he didn’t disappoint. I wouldn’t mind seeing this again in the theatres. You should see this in a theatre on the biggest screen you have access to. It is new but is familiar at the same time. Oh, by the way, BB8 is adorable.

Spammers Suck, They Must Be Stopped

Spammers and their blogs suck and make the whole thing difficult for those of us who are in this thing for the right reasons. They can go away and do something else like paint dry. Stop spam now!
