Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Be a Hero

My friend Rebecca said that heroes come in more than one form. She is a smart person. Being a hero doesn’t always mean carrying a gun sometimes it means doing something more. Many times it means stepping up to do something in your community to save lives like blood donation or helping the homeless. Many times it means standing up to a bully on behalf of the weak. I am glad I can be a hero in a peaceful way.

Thank You!

I think everyone should say thank you to the people that clean up after us. Drive us around on a bus. Prepare and serve our meals. Help us with our cell phone bill (even when we don’t get our way). The people who are making a living helping us out deserve our thanks everyday.
