Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Miscellaneous Musings

How we treat one another matters. It means that we have respect for our family, friends and neighbors. There is a saying that you have to love yourself before you love someone else. I find that its easier to love others more than I love me. Weird, I know. The ethical treatment of people should have a priority in our hearts and minds. Coming across as a know it all isn’t what the world needs right now. Not everyone can be an expert in everything.

I hope to expand on these things as time goes on. Love and peace good people.

Quote Of The Day

We need more light about each other. Light creates understanding, understanding creates love, love creates patience, and patience creates unity.

In Memory Of Those Lost To COVID-19

Over 504,000 people have died in the United States due to COVID-19

Globally over 2.4 Million have lost their lives to COVID-19

In my home state of Tennessee, USA 11,133 souls have perished to COVID-19.

This fight isn’t over, prevention is the best tool. Wearing masks is needed to keep people from getting the virus. Vaccination will save lives so get yours when you get the chance.

Grace and peace and love to all who have lost their lives and to those who survive.

Monday Motivation

Everyone has talents and abilities that are special to them. Not everything is easy and if it were everybody would do it. Remember you are special and what you do matters.
