Spending one-on-one time with my dad today has been one of the highlights of the month for me. I don’t know if that will happen again. I love that man oh so dearly.

Today is International Left Handers Day. As a left-handed person I’m glad we have this day to prove we are in our right minds. Power to the lefties and southpaws today.

My dad is going home. This would ordinarily be good news but he’s chosen to stop further dialysis treatments and to live in the comfort of family and friends as nature takes its course. His liver and kidney function is declining and there is not much more that can be done. We don’t know how much time he has left but we will love him and cherish him. I am sad and tired and angry. I blame the circumstances more than I blame God and God isn’t getting off easy. Your prayers and good thoughts are welcome.

I’m still doing the best I can with what I have to give. Sometimes the burden is heavy.

We received some discouraging news today. Dad’s options are limited due to his condition. We are processing all this and hoping for the best.
