Caring For Family

Taking care of a close and loved family member can be exhausting. For my missus and me, it’s only been a couple of days. Taking care of family is a physical act and one that is emotional and soul testing. We are all hanging in there and I hope the coming days will provide enhanced care and peace for us all. Love means being there.

Quote Of The Day

Empathy is born out of the old biblical injunction, Love the neighbor as thyself.

Thank A Healthcare Worker Today

There are thousands of healthcare workers everywhere who are so important to keeping us all up and going. Be sure to thank them for their service in this chaos we are in. We need them now more than ever.

Farewell Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the rest of the world will find out who his successor will be. Canada’s Liberal Party will name its new leader and that person will become the new Prime Minister. Mark Carney is the favorite to win the party leadership race. I want to wish Justin all the best as he steps down.

Canada is in an unfortunate trade war and solid leadership and servanthood is needed now more than ever to preserve and defend Canada strong and free.

A Cross-Country Trip, The Rail Is The Way

Daily writing prompt
You’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, car, or bike?

I believe the most comfortable way to travel is by train. You have conveniences such as spacious washrooms, food/beverages, comfortable seats and some terrific views along the way. We have traveled in Canada by the VIA Rail system. I can say that the two times we have gone from Windsor to Toronto have been easier than if we went by bus. We did use the GO Rail system to travel to Niagara Falls from Toronto. We did take the bus on our last trip from Chattanooga to Detroit, and that was an adventure I recommend to anyone. So I am going to say trains if you have time to get from place to place.
