Hello New Followers

Thanks for your interest in my blog and what I have to say. I appreciate your time and I hope you will find something interesting here every time you visit. Keep on blogging good people.

Making Sense Out Of Insane Things

You thought I was going to write on something else by the title of this post. Well in a way I am but from a twist framed in what many of us are here for.

Friends, I believe in blogging and what it does to promote sane conversations about insane things. When you take time to think things through and hopefully make a little sense then it can help foster mature conversations. People can control the conversation here better than Facebook or other social platforms. We all have a great venue to share what is in our hearts and in our heads as well as where we live. So in this crazy world perhaps blogging is needed more than ever.

Perhaps we can change the world a little or perhaps talk someone off the cliff. Use your superpowers for good because the world needs as much of it as it can get.

Back to Blogging

If one hasn’t blogged in awhile and it happens to all of us then there is pressure to post something lengthy to make up for it.

My recommendation is a couple of short paragraphs just to get things going again. Perhaps it can “set the table” if you will for other posts. It can get people used to seeing you again. The risk of not posting regularly is losing followers who prune their reading lists frequently.

Posting can be as simple as sharing a picture or maybe a quote. Don’t feel like you have to churn out 1000 or more words at a time when maybe 100 will do the trick of getting you back in the game.

Keep on blogging good people whenever you can.

Blogging Fanboy

I am a huge fan of bloggers. You are my favorite thing online to get excited about. Your stories and lives are very interesting and fun. Thanks for allowing me to fanboy over your blogs and to connect with you in a geeky way.

Chromebooks Just Outsold Windows Laptops For the First Time

US Business-to-business (B2B) sales* of notebooks running Google’s Chrome OS passed 50% between June and early July 2015, with overall education season sales up almost 40% over the same period last year.

I own a Chromebook and I enjoy it very much. It has simplified my computing experience. The price of a unit is good too. This machine is good for bloggers because of all the apps available for creating and planning posts.

Reblogging

I don’t reblog a lot of stuff unless it supports the overall theme of my blog. It’s not that I am a snob or anything but I like doing my own posts. The blog has my name on it and I should be about doing posts that are hand crafted by me. One day I will have a guest blogger here but I will be very picky about who that is.

When someone reblogs my content I don’t mind it. However when its a highly personal post or has an image of myself then its just a little strange.  Granted I know this is a blog that is open and available for everyone to see but I do think we should all be respectful of personal posts and images that are best left to the blog of their creator and not someone elses.

Just a thought.
