Hurricane Irma is on its way and will impact Florida and the southeastern states. I have friends in Florida who are riding it out and hoping for the best. I’m in Tennessee and we will get some of that weather early next week. There are other storms brewing in the Atlantic too so keeping watch is a routine thing these days. To everyone in the storms path be careful, be alert and remember that life is always the most important concern in times like this.

Police in Manchester, England, confirm 19 people dead at Manchester Arena following an apparent explosion after a concert by Ariana Grande. About 50 people have been injured.The statement says police will treat the incident as a terrorist attack until they know otherwise.

I didn’t know a whole lot about Chris Cornell until I saw a interview with him on CBS News. He was a leader in the early grunge rock scene. Recently he had been doing some soundtracks for movies. He seemed like a brilliant talent that is now no longer with us. A tragic loss for his family and the music community.
