It’s only been a couple of days since the Academy Awards debacle and I am already tired of hearing about it. Chris Rock shouldn’t have made jokes about Will Smith’s wife Jada and Will shouldn’t have lost his cool by slapping/hitting Chris. So, what I am trying to say is the whole thing shouldn’t have happened.
There are more important things to discuss. Although you can talk about more than one thing.
Here’s a shout-out to Bruce Willis who is now fighting a health battle in which he will need action hero strength to get through.
Everyone needs a diversion from reality. Tonight the Oscars are providing that. When I see someone dis the “Hollywood Elites” it’s really sad. Without the arts and films, the world would be a really boring place. People need to chill out and rediscover their humanity. Life is tough enough without being completely mean. Here is to more grace and peace.
It’s understandable to be frustrated and angry. Even being pissed off is acceptable when circumstances warrant it. Try to avoid being mean; but sometimes it might be the catalyst for getting past a situation. Try reconciliation first, it’s good for us all.
Humanity is in crisis and the price of a gallon of gas ideally shouldn’t be getting totally upset about. People are trying to survive moment to moment. Let’s chill out and be helpful in the situations people find themselves in.
We live in wonky times. Sure there’s inflation and stuff is more expensive these days among other economic situations. It’s a burden we are all experiencing, no one is immune. Let’s be grateful for what we have. And learn from history when things were much worse.
We have a pandemic we are continuing to live with. Also Vladimir Putin decided to use Russia’s armed forces to attack Ukraine. The world can’t seem to catch a break. Humanity needs one.
Be kind to others and yourself while you are at it. We are all in this thing together. Life will be better that way.
