A Wrinkle In Time – A Great Movie For Our Times

a-wrinkle-in-time-still

I am not much of a reader which is shocking to some but today I saw the movie “A Wrinkle In Time” based upon the book by Madeline L’engle. This story of expanding the universe, your mind and your heart resonated with me. We have a daughter and a son trying to bring their back home who has found his way across the universe based upon a discovery that connects its far ends. He ends up in the grips of an evil force that has kept him from the family for four years.

Three celestial beings, Mrs. Which, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Whatsit who are played by Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling and Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon. guide newcomers Storm Reid, Levi Miller and Deric McCabe join veteran actors Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Pena, Chris Pine and Zach Galifianakis in this adventure in space, time and most importantly love.

Ava DuVernay did a beautiful job making the story vibrant, colorful and dark when needed. We need to see more stories that empower young people and especially young women to become warriors for good in their own time and the universe. I recommend this to everyone. Movies like this are important and necessary in the dark times we live in.

The Divine Feminine Magic Thing

There is something to the divine feminine, girl magic, whatever you wish to call it. The world is better with all of it in its full effect. Your everyday goddess is out there making things happen and that will change the world. Trying to keep it down is not the way to go in the times in which we live.

Hello Saturday From Chattanooga, Tennessee

The weather is dreary from the Scenic City of The South but it’s Saturday so that’s great. I hope you are having a great day everyone.

Thank Goodness It’s The Weekend!

It’s been a hard week for everyone. The weekend couldn’t come fast enough for me. I was counting down the hours today when I got to work. Some weeks are harder than others and for me this was tough. Happy weekend, love and peace.

Thor: Ragnarok – A Great Action Movie With Humor

featured

Ragnarock is the third installment of the Thor franchise from Marvel Studios. Chris Hemsworth’s Thor leads the charge in saving Asgard with help from Loki played by Tom Hiddlesworth and The Incredible Hulk played by Mark Ruffalo. In this movie there is a great story with plenty of action and a surprising amount of humor. I really enjoyed this different sort of Super Hero flick that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Jeff Goldblum is terrific as a likable bad guy more so than Cate Blanchett as the sister of Thor and Loki who returns to exact revenge with her really big army of baddies. Check it out!
