Yeah, this says it all. Not a fan of Mondays. But adult I must. Six o’clock is less than 10 hours away. If it’s Monday where you are already I hope you have a great day.

Happy Sunday My Friends and Fellow #Bloggers

keep-calm-and-have-a-great-sunday-1My friends I hope you all have a great day ahead. I am off to mass at Church this morning and from there the day is wide open. I do plan a nap in there somewhere, maybe a little Football, who knows. Of course there will be some blogging too. There is also some good stuff on TV tonight. I guess I might be more active than I thought.

Grace and peace to you all today.

Something About The Way Things Should Be, But They Aren’t

I am an idealist who sees the world sometimes in black and white. My vision of reality is based upon what would be the best situation. Yeah there is a part of me that is an optimist who is very positive. Sometimes I speak in absolutes. There is a part of me that is very justice driven and that gets in the way of how I see people and situations. This is something I fear leads me to being  somewhat judgmental and yes narrow minded. We live in a shades of gray world and I need to work harder to be more shades of gray and that not everything is built on absolutes or hard and fast rules. The world is changing and I love that, I need to be ready to change with it.

We all have ideas on how things should be, but we have to live in the reality that they aren’t and that is the place we have to be in with others who think and see things their own way. This is a way to live peacefully in community and to be more like the Creator who made us all unique and special. I don’t run the world but I can manage my little part of it.

One Hundred Days of 90+ Degree Heat. I’m Ready To Cool It Down

This tweet comes from Christina Reuille of our CBS-TV station WDEF in Chattanooga. It’s been really hot for a lot of days during the summer and even into early fall. It makes me wonder when the temperatures will be going down. It’s way too hot to be fall. Consider that October is only week away. I am ready for a change of weather so that I can wear different clothes and perhaps enjoy food you normally eat in the fall.

Status Update

Headed to a college football game this afternoon. But first there’s breakfast and a trip to the library. A good day of fun is ahead.
