On this day 25 years ago the world’s first website went live to the public. The site, created by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, was a basic text page with hyperlinked words that connected to other pages.Via The world’s first website went online 25 years ago today

Wow, it’s hard to believe the first website went live 25 years ago. It is a revolutionary thing that has changed the world and how we live. Thank you Sir. Tim Berners-Lee for your vision and know how to make this whole thing work.

Music Monday – Blondie – Hanging On The Telephone

I am a big fan of this group. They have been featured on this blog on several occasions. This tune is from “Parallel Lines” a record released in 1978. My life is spent hanging on the telephone in “one way or another” (that’s for another post).

Daily Prompt: Luxury

Luxury is measured in many things, not just money. Time is a luxury, space is a luxury, resources is a luxury. Some people are not afforded luxury for one reason or another. To me luxury is not always about extravagance, its more about the little things when you don’t have much to begin with. Perhaps luxury is something that needs redefining.

I am blessed to have many cool people I share a interest in blogging. These people inspire me and help me continue to be creative and to develop myself in this hobby of mine. Everyone needs people they can connect with to exchange ideas and promote friendship. Being kind to one another can keep us all engaged in our lives as bloggers. Keep on blogging my friends.

For years I called Tumblr my blogging home. I called it home when I had to migrate from the blogging platform known as Multiply before it closed. Tumblr is a good platform for blogging and connecting with fellow users. It is known by many as a microblogging platform but I really think it is more than that.My reasons for migrating to WordPress are many. But my time with Tumblr as my primary blogging platform was good. I made some great blogging friends there. Now you can find me at http://tonyburgess1969.net  where I am blogging full time now.Thank you for visiting my Tumblr archives. See what I thought and blogged about years ago.
