Today is my dad’s birthday and I want to say how much I love and appreciate him. He loves his family, his friends and his country. He served in the US Air Force and he has a love for aerospace and other nerdy things. This guy taught me how to be nerdy too. I love you dad!

My wife posted this on my Facebook timeline and its very true. I need to rest, not fix everything and I don’t have to make everyone happy. Taking time for me is important and I am looking forward to it.
I am taking a much deserved four-day weekend so today is “Friday” for me. Four days off is something I really need and I am looking forward to. Monday is Independence Day here in the United States and that is a good reason to take time off too. Right now I am counting down the hours til 4:30 PM when I get off. You know it’s 4:30 PM somewhere.
It’s been a long day at work and afterwards. I’m glad to be home. I’m also hearing fireworks or something. It’s not even Independence Day.
