Tunes Tuesday – Huey Lewis And The News – Workin’ For A Livin’ #backtowork

Since I am back to work today this seems very appropriate. Here’s to all the folks who are working for a living and to those finding their way back to working for more. Released in 1982 this Huey Lewis and The News song still has a great beat.

Tunes Tuesday – Pat Benatar – Love Is A Battlefield

This classic rock anthem from the 1980’s is about female empowerment and great dancing. Love is a battlefield among other things.

#TBT – The Clash – “Should I Stay Or Should I Go” #brexit

In honor of the results being tabulated in the Brexit/European Union referendum. “The Clash” say it best.

#FBF – REO Speedwagon – Take It On The Run #rbfestival

REO Speedwagon is one of the best bands of the 1980’s. They are still touring and they will be in concert tonight at Chattanooga’s Riverbend Festival. I can’t wait to see their show.

Music Monday – Starship – Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now

Something inspirational for the day. Starship is one of my favorites from back in the day.

#TBT – Throwback Thursday – Cutting Crew – (I Just) Died In Your Arms

This song seems to have had some legs to it. I hear it a lot on the radio station playing the hits of my youth. It has a 80’s sound to it but it still feels modern today.
