Coffee and Winter Humor

I found this on Facebook and thought it funny. I have seen videos of people experimenting with water to see if it freezes in mid-air, so this has the same feeling. It has been icy and cold where I live, but we are thawing out a little. I hope you are staying warm and comfortable wherever this post finds you.

Well Now It’s Friday

My good people it’s Friday again. Today’s extra special because I am taking today off. Thanks to you all who are working today. Let’s head into the weekend with gladness or something like that. Grace, love, and peace.

Six Word Story

The negativity online is often breathtaking.

Stanley Tumblers, The Hydration Sensation

So, do you have one of these Stanley Tumbler things? These are all the rage right now. Stores can’t keep them on the shelves, just ask Target.

Everyone must be thirsty so they need something huge to carry around to provide them more than adequate hydration. They even sell accessories such as a purse for these things. It’s just the latest in pop culture and merch.

My sister got us a dupe which seems to do the job just fine. I remember when everyone just got water out of a fountain. Those were the days.

A Review Of “Barbie” The Movie

Barbie is an iconic name in toys. “Barbie” is also a great movie that Greta Gerwig made. In this movie, you find a loaded cast of very familiar faces. Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as her companion, Ken give stellar performances that tug at your heartstrings in this movie. America Ferrera and Kate McKinnon add such strong supporting performances too. I also have to mention Will Ferrell who plays a kind of bad guy.

This movie blurs the line between the fantasy of Barbieland and the real world where you find Mattel Toys the maker of Barbie. It’s a movie about discovering who you are, who you can be, and fairness for everyone. But the part of this story I liked was female empowerment in that any girl can grow up to be the person of their dreams.

Also, the soundtrack is pretty good too with Academy Award winner Billie Eilish singing “What Was I Made For” a song written for this film.

If you haven’t seen it, do so. This is a film worth your time.

Finishing Strong On This Final Friday

It’s hard to believe it’s the final Friday of 2023. Time is a weird thing you know. Let’s finish the week, month and year strong, or something like that. The new year is close at hand my good people. Have a great day everyone.
