Trying out a new place for Sunday brunch. Chattanooga’s Flying Squirrel is casual and fits the progressive dining scene that’s on the south side.

Brisket at Edley’s In Chattanooga

Brisket and sides at Edley’s Bar-B-Cue here in Chattanooga. Tender brisket, tangy slaw and some spicy beans. The cornbread was tasty and moist. Good cue for the price.

Daily Prompt – Word Of The Day: Feast

I was looking at some family photos on my granddad’s computer yesterday and a picture from thanksgiving came up where the family feast was being laid out. All sorts of traditional fare was on the counter where we serve buffet style which brought back some happy memories. Sometimes there’s more to the feast than just the food. It’s the people who make it special. Feasting can be fun when there are those who you like and love who are there to share company and to break bread.

Crock Pot Beef and Broccoli

I made this for dinner tonight. Beef tips, broccoli and onion with soy sauce, Thai chili sauce, garlic, salt, pepper, sesame oil, honey and brown sugar. Served with rice and homemade white sauce made for a good Sunday dinner.

Fall For Chilli

First chill of the fall. It got cool enough to make it. It’s gonna be good. Served with corn chips, sour cream and cheese it makes a very hearty meal to warm you up.
