For most of us from Gen-X and earlier these stores are iconic and a part of our childhood. I would bring them all back. I have fond memories of these retail establishments. My Missus worked for Toys R Us and my sister worked for K-Mart. Historically, shopping is a communal activity, and browsing the shelves can be fun. Online shopping is so convenient though. Also, streaming video has changed the way we consume entertainment. At some point I predict brick-and-mortar shops will make a comeback like many things have in the past.
The party of swindlers and thieves is putting forward its chief swindler and its chief thief for the presidency. We must vote against him, struggle against him.
I hope all of you had a Happy Valentine’s Day whether you celebrated with someone special or with a group of special people (think Galentines) today. My missus and I went out for Latin food and sushi from the same restaurant then went to Ash Wednesday services at church. Remember love is the way.
OK, it’s February 2024 which is hard to believe. Let’s hope for some good things to come. It will definitely be shorter than January chronologically that is. Love and peace to you all.
