Here is a total blast from the past. The Monkees were a big part of the TV and music scene in the mid-to-late 1960’s. NBC first introduced them to America as a group of four lads starting a band and the adventures that ensued. As a group they had some very memorable hits on the radio that has been played on radio and streaming audio for years.
Miley Cyrus is on the latest season of “The Voice – US Version” and I haven’t been the biggest fan of hers but she is growing on me as a person who is clear about who she is. This song is inspirational too.
This duo has one of the great sounds of Brit-pop of the 1980’s. Something about their voices and the music that paints a mental picture of a place with real people.
This David Bowie classic is for all those who are going through changes in life. Hang in there good people. Change is constant. It’s also tough but you are tougher.
As you may or may not know I am 47. Yes age is just a number but when you hear that your favorite music, movie, TV show or something like that was released or opened 20, 30 or 40 years ago it makes your bones and soul hurt a little. Everything gets older, not just human beings.

This song is visually stunning and very 1980’s. The Cars are one of those american pop/rock bands that have interesting vocals and catchy tunes. On CBS TV a show called “BrainDead” has been using this tune to indicate when people who have been infected by alien bugs are on the scene. I would have never thought this song would be brought back into popularity in such a way.
