People find themselves with their heads in the clouds or looking back or looking forward. Perhaps being in the present is the opportunity that’s being missed.
The good old days are not coming back. No one is promised tomorrow. So, all we have is now. There’s good things happening to see just by keeping your eyes open.
Right now is as live as life gets. It’s hard for others to understand that fact considering how tough reality can be and the temptation is to avoid it.
Keep your feet under you and don’t overthink stuff. I’m going to have a hard time with that.
First Contact Day is celebrated on April 5. It is the day when the Vulcans first make contact with humans on April 5, 2063. The site of the ‘First Contact’ is near the town of Boseman, Montana. It is my hope this comes to pass but Earth has to get its stuff together in order to be worthy of first contact. Thank you Gene Roddenberry for giving us the dreams to boldly go where no one has gone before.
The thing about problems is that they are meant to be solved or attempted to be solved. Usually, there are other problems that follow. Solving a problem or series of them can help you accomplish great things. Sometimes resolving problems can get you home or get you to the next thing in life. Whatever your problems are I hope they get solved or become less.
To all transgender people who are living their truth may you be visible today and every day. I support you who are making the transition and I give you my support and love. May the violence of lawmakers stop once and for all.
Rhythm is a part of life. In music, it can be everything. Every ensemble or band has to have someone to create a rhythm that can get people dancing. Taylor Hawkins was that person for the rock band Foo Fighters. He died last week when the band was on a world tour. He was an amazing drummer who made his band so much better. From what I understand he was a really good person.
It’s rare when you have a band with two legendary drummers including Dave Grohl who was the drummer for Nirvana. Foo Fighters will have to find a way forward to make the rhythm happen once again. Rest in power Taylor. Your talent will live on.
