Pi Day is an annual opportunity for math enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math, and eat pie.
To celebrate we have enjoyed three-meat pizza pie and chocolate satin pie. Both were yummy. Since it is also Saturday the 14th after Friday the 13th we are watching a scary, cheesy 1980s movie Saturday The 14th.
Two good people I know passed away recently. Mark who was a high school classmate and Jaye who was a fellow parishioner at church both passed away within the last couple of days. I liked both of them, and it saddens me that they are no longer with us. Jaye fought a 15-year battle with cancer and Mark had health issues of his own. Both men were good people. I am better for have known them and had them in my life. May their memories be a blessing. Godspeed good sirs.
I have been making music in a way by taking some of our CD’s and ripping them to my digital collection on my laptop. I have been using the Linux program Rhythmbox to import the music and then visually organizing the albums on Gnome Music where I will play them from.

Furthermore, I am saving them in the open source Ogg Vorbis format and tagging them so they can have the album art can be found online and embedded to each title. They won’t be going online for sharing just so that people with power will know it will be for personal use only. This is a retro way of doing things I would imagine, but it is fun.
As a reminder, I love Jesus and I cuss a little. Lately I have been cussing more because of the way things are. Righteous anger is good anger and the expression of it is important.
I reinstalled the Fedora Linux operating system yesterday and I have been settling in by downloading programs and importing files. Some stuff didn’t look right but with a Google search and some very light copying and pasting into the terminal things are looking and working good.
I must say that the vanilla Gnome desktop environment experience is good and allows for modifications. Figuring stuff out is exciting.
