Rambling About Story Telling From My Point Of View

In sales its good tell the story of the product you are selling. In telling the story of blood donation the story is that lives are being saved. To me there is power in telling your story because it helps people to relate a little. Sharing the message you want people to hear is hard work but it can be done. People aren’t stupid so your story needs to be good and honest. Sometimes the story is needed to convince people to move, to do something, to advance a mission. Whatever your life story be willing to tell it, someone can benefit from your experience.

Your Posts, My Posts

As much as I love blogging and bloggers there is no way I can keep up with every post from every blogger I follow. Other things in life must be taken care of and blogging shouldn’t be a chore it should be something fun. Picking up from where you are at any given moment is probably the best way to keep up. If we took the time to look at every post from every blogger we knew then there would be less time for other things in life. Priorities do matter after all. Your posts are a part of you and my posts are a part of me but they aren’t everything that should consume us.

What is your experience with this? How do you manage your blogging time?

Getting Through A Dry Spell

I am in a bit of a dry spell at work…everyone goes through that. You work hard to break through to make things happen and it just doesn’t happen. My struggle the last couple of days is making quota in my job. You keep on going and no matter what you do its just not happening. Frustration begins to set in and you find yourself done. This is not a uncommon among people who work in a production environment.

Factors such as time of year, availability, life situations can impact everyone. One thing I learned years ago is that the more you throw mud at a tree the more will stick. It’s a take on you reap what you sow. Sowing requires hard work and dedication. A farmer preparing for rain means he has faith enough to plant for the future. Faith in different forms can also give some assurance in the future.

Getting through a dry spell isn’t easy. But with hard work, dedication, intelligence and a little faith you will be able to make it through. Don’t give up, don’t give in, do work hard, everything runs in a cycle. Yes the struggle is real but you are really going to make it.

In Advance of Mother’s Day – A Salute To Mary, The Mother of Jesus

imagesIn advance of Mother’s day I want to say how much I admire Mary the mother of Jesus. She was called upon to be the mother of a very important person by God. Her challenges with raising such a special person must have been daunting. She is in my opinion the greatest Jewish mother ever. As a young mother she was responsible for keeping Jesus in a safe, nurturing environment. She didn’t do it alone, she had Joseph was called upon to rise to the occasion of being Jesus’ dad. Mary is a venerated person in some Christian traditions and she is a inspirational figure.

Two Things

I think there are two things I would say to a fellow blogger at any level.

1. Keep on blogging…if you stop you might not start back again. Fake it until you make it when necessary. But chill out if you need to.

2. Be the star of your own blog. Your blog is about the world from your point of view. Let that show to the world.

Friends be the blogger you can be even when life is tough.

Connections

It’s amazing the connections we make with people who we never thought we would become friends with. Some folks surprise you when they want to be your pal. Those connections reveal the depth of our hearts and souls that we look past appearances into something greater. Friendships are a vital part of our world and we all need them. It is through our friendships that we learn more about ourselves. We need to be wary that we see ourselves poorly when others reject us though. Each of us are valuable people and its great when others see it and sometimes let us know that value. Connections are cool!
