For many the fantasy worlds of Harry Potter and Star Wars and the like are places they find homes in because the real world they live in reality is cruel to them because of who they are. As I have always said it’s hard to be a misfit toy. It’s sad when someone has to hide in plain sight who they are and want to present themselves as. That isn’t freedom good people.

Remembering Sir Michael Gambon
Sir Micheal Gambon was not the original Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies However, he did the job very well when called upon to replace the original Dumbledore, Richard Harris when he passed away. Gambon died on September 27th. He was also on Doctor Who during the Matt Smith era for one of their Christmas specials among many other roles on stage and screen. Sir Michael, rest in power. May you find magic in the heavens.
It’s Flu Shot Day At Work

Despite my expression I’m glad to get my flu shot at my workplace. It is an important thing to do not only for me but others.
Brand Power Isn’t All That Important
I am not much of a brand snob. I tend to be okay with store brands, generic items, and that sort of thing. Price is a consideration and saving money is important. Quality can be found in different forms. Mobile phones are an exception since I have had Google Pixels for years. It’s cool to be a frugal shopper brand name or not.

Sunday Reflection – Haves and Have-Nots
Simply said, there are haves and have-nots in the world. Each has a place and space in the world. Their impact on the lives of people is very personal and very communal.
For have-nots, it is a matter of survival day to day, while those who have seem to have more options in life. It’s also a matter of self-esteem and worth in both situations.
Haves and have-nots can share the same space, or they will find themselves separated by attitudes beyond their control. Interestingly, people can sometimes find themselves straddling the line between the two. Economics and culture can play a big role in every part of life.
No matter what, everyone needs to know they are valued and loved. The struggle is real and we must realize that. Everyone is a paycheck away from being on either side of the fence.
