I am grateful to them for doing all the heavy lifting of hosting and behind the scenes stuff. Supporting them is something I gladly do. I will be renewing my personal service tier soon. Office politics is a reality workers face. It’s not fun. However it’s not the reason you exist for your job it’s the end user, the customer, the client, the student, the volunteer. People who benefit from your work should be the primary mission of anyone on the job. Yes politics is a real issue in any office situation that can discourage us but it shouldn’t deter us from accomplishing our goals or performing tasks at hand. Keep on working and keep the main thing the main thing and hopefully that will take care of business.
Be you is a easy thing to say but hard thing to do. Unfortunately there are expectations that others have of all of us in order to fit in. Life is tough enough without having to play a role that doesn’t seem genuine or authentic. It’s kind of nice to be in a space and place where you can just be who you want to be without anyone demanding you play the part you don’t want to.
One part of this blog is its dedication to current events. That is because I am big on posting about things that are happening now. However there comes a time when I get stuff wrong. I rely upon sources from the media that have a long history of journalism and getting things right. Today I posted about the death of rock star Tom Petty. It was later that his death was not verified so as of this post he is still alive.
Everyone gets things wrong sometimes but you want to be as right as you can. Keeping on top of things means verifying your sources multiple times. The web does have some great websites to verify reality from urban legend to misinformation. When I get something wrong I will own up to it and say I am sorry. Ones reputation online means being accurate as much as you can.
Righteous anger is good my friends.
