Tonight we have the All Elite Wrestling Forbidden Door pay-per-view event going on. Forbidden Door is an event with AEW, New Japan Pro Wrestling, CMLL out of Mexico, and Stardom from Japan, professional wrestling promotions battling it out for glory, gold, and more. I am hoping for some great graps and fun. Pro wrestling is the sport of kings and queens.
In some parts of the world it’s Father’s Day. I had a great dad and granddad, but I know that not everyone did. Fathers come in many varieties and circumstances. Some moms do double duty as dads as well. Dads of dogs and cats and other creatures like me count too. Thanks to all the dads who are setting an example of making the world a better place.
My wife, parents, and sister have been constant inspirations. They have encouraged me too. I am also inspired by those in the culture who seek to make life better for as many people as possible. People who I have come across online have given me hope. Lately people in health care have amazed me. Nurses, nurse assistants, rehabilitation specialists, doctors, and more have shown me great skill and ability to heal and help people get back to where they were before. Thanks to all who have inspired me to want to be better and do more myself.
I have been a caregiver to my wife, who had emergency surgery in April to clear a severe infection that could have been fatal. Part of that caregiving is wound care. I received a crash course in taking care of her significant surgical wounds before she left her rehabilitation hospital on May 9th. Since then I have practiced the art of applying gauze, pads, creams, saline, and other things to help her heal. So in a sense I have mastered that skill as much as an amateur nurse can.
Instead of more data centers, I think there needs to be more investment in public schools and other stuff to make our communities better. We need to have better priorities. Data centers aren’t good for the environment. We need better things in our communities to make them better.
