Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Host SNL Tonight!

Two legends of Saturday Night Live return to Studio 8H at 30 Rock to host along with musical guest Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. It is the Christmas episode so it will be extra special. Expect some of their friends to make an appearance or two.

My Blog Will Not Have A Winter/Spring Finale

Our favorite TV shows are going through their Fall/Winter finales. However I won’t be following along with my blog here. Nope, I will not be taking a break from my blog during the holidays. My friends I will be right here sharing what’s on my heart and in my head. Read at your own risk. I would appreciate a boost in the ratings though.

Spoilers Sweetie

It used to be you could be surprised when watching a TV show. However with the advent of social media and blogging spoilers abound. You do have options and apps that can keep from spoiling the surprise but it’s not always possible to keep away from friends talking about what they have seen but you haven’t. Spoilers are a part of our lives and we just have to try to avoid them, but being offline isn’t always an option. I guess you just have to live in a cave in order to avoid hearing or seeing something about your favorite show online. Spoilers, sweetie are the way things are online and even at the water cooler.

TV and Twitter

Have you ever watched a TV show just to see what people are saying about it on Twitter. Sometimes the comments are better than what you see on the screen. With this multi-screen entertainment environment we have going on it makes sense to have your device running twitter while you are tuned into your favorite show. The thing about it is that it works only when the show is live and bunches of people are commenting about it at the same time. Streaming DOES NOT offer this feel of communal viewing. I am old school like this and I like to see something live and on a big screen. I like the instant feedback that Twitter provides and it does influence people to continue watching something or just leaving it behind. So enjoy TV and Twitter at the same time.
