Throwback Thursday – Earth, Wind & Fire – September #TBT

A little groove for the beginning of the month from one of the great groups in American music history. Enjoy y’all!

Trowback Thursday – The Power Station – Communication #TBT

This is a super group featuring Duran Duran’s Andy Taylor and John Taylor with the late Tony Thompson and late Robert Palmer on lead vocals. “Communication” is one of my favorites from this record.

Communication changes in the technology we use, however we should always try to focus on the message and being clear and concise. It’s a say what you mean and mean what you say sort of thing. The conversations in your head need to sometime be open to those who need to hear what you are saying.

Throwback Thursday – Schoolhouse Rock #TBT #backtoschool

A generation of American kids grew up singing the catchy tunes that were a integral part of “Schoolhouse Rock.” These animated shorts incorporate songs that illustrate educational subjects such as history, science, multiplication tables and basic grammar. – From Wikipedia

Today’s Throwback Thursday is dedicated to back to school and Schoolhouse Rock is a retro look at how a generation learned on Saturday mornings.

#TBT My Bitstrip Comics. Farewell #Bitstrips

Bitstrips is going away and I am sad. It was a great way to tell my story in a humorous way. It was a popular service at one time allowing its users to share in comic format. It joins many other services on the web that are shuttering to make way for new things to capture our imagination and attention. Snapchat bought Bitstrips for $100 million. Farewell my old friend.

#TBT Throwback Thursday – Billy Joel – Big Shot

From YouTube – In 1978, Billy Joel released his album 52nd Street, which won two Grammy Awards for ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Best Male Pop Vocal Performance’. Watch the official music video for ‘Big Shot’, which became a Top 20 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

I heard this song this morning on the radio on my way into work and it got me going. Billy Joel is one of the great American rock stars. His sound is distinctive and very New York.

#TBT – Throwback Thursday – Cutting Crew – (I Just) Died In Your Arms

This song seems to have had some legs to it. I hear it a lot on the radio station playing the hits of my youth. It has a 80’s sound to it but it still feels modern today.
