It’s Here, It’s Friday! Awesome Sauce.

Hey kids it’s Friday and I am sure many of us thought it wouldn’t get here. Let’s have a great finish to the week and power through. Have a swell day everyone.

Daily Prompt: Percolate

Every good thing takes time. Thoughts, coffee and ideas. Like coffee percolates so do the things in our mind. A good brew takes beans, water, heat and some steam to make something delicious. So today as we work may good things percolate to fill our coffee cups and our spiritual chalaces. May you get your fill of things that are percolating today.

Daily Prompt: Filthy

Filthy is kind of like a onomatopoeia, a word that sounds like itself. Being filthy is a byproduct of dirty work of various kinds. It also means doing something guilty that makes you feel filthy on the inside. I can remember times when being filthy meant I was helping others do some heavy lifting which was a good thing. Then there is being filthy rich where you are wealthy. Being filthy means getting dirty in a lot of ways. So I suppose being filthy can be a negative or positive thing depending on what you are doing.

Something About What Makes A Blogger, Numbers Don’t Tell The Whole Story #wordpressdotcom

keep-calm-and-read-my-blog-39Blogging is a noun and a verb. It is something you do and is something you are. Your number of followers do not determine your value as a blogger because I think the quality of your connections is what matters most. Some bloggers have a large following while others have a few friends and neighbors tagging along. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t have thousands of people visiting daily. A blog that comes from the heart will tell a great story and will bring people along organically. Don’t worry about your stats especially if you are an amateur. It’s good to celebrate milestones of people following but don’t get hung up on that. Every blog has a place in cyberspace.

No two bloggers are exactly alike. Their mission and purpose are determined by the writer and curator. I think individuality matters. Be yourself within your blog and create posts in your own way. Be sure your blog looks alive and tells the reader something about yourself.

As a person who runs a personal blog I am not out to be wildly popular but to share my message with all who will hear it and will connect with me. Being happy with what you have and be proud of your blog.

The one thing I always say is keep on blogging!

Music Monday – The Golden Girls Theme Song – Thank You For Being A Friend

The Golden Girls was a TV situation comedy that ran 1985-1992 on NBC Television. It was about the life adventures of four older women living in a condo in south Florida. For many it holds a special place in their hearts, including mine. So this is a little different for Music Monday a TV theme song…it won’t be the last time either.

Thank you for being a friend, yeah you!
