People of “Loose Morals”

The words slut, whore, bitch, ho and other expressions of people of “loose morals” seems to be in my experience aimed toward women. Perhaps as a way to shame or demean them. Of course there are men who could be called the equivalent names for the things they do.

Ones behavior and responsibility is a personal thing and perhaps we should give some grace to these people. However there are some folks whose actions can cause great damage to others and they need to be called on it but not by calling them names. Don’t cast stones.

Something About A Critique

Everyone is critiqued about something in life. From a speech to art to a research paper. Your work is judged sometimes fairly, sometimes it’s picked apart and you have to start from scratch to make it better. It makes you feel good when you are on the right path and all you need is minor adjustments and perhaps adding another point or two. I think after fixing something if time allows let it sit for awhile and come back to see if the improvements are going to work. I have to remember there are people out there who know more about some things than I do and their advice is meant to make me and my work better. It’s hard not to take it personally but don’t take it personally.

Daily Prompt: Messy

My friends, life is messy. Every facet of existence is going to challenge us as we go through some mud. Relationships are not for the feint of heart. Our friendships will test us and even come and go. The muck and the mud is where we find ourselves most often dealing with emotions that span the spectrum. We have things in our lives we aren’t proud of and very ashamed to admit. Good people go through bad things and that is a whole other discussion. Whatever you are going through, just keep going. You will get dirty and messy and it will hurt. Making something good means making a mess.

Daily Prompt: Imagination

Everyone needs an imagination to get through life. Without the power to dream and to contemplate the impossible life does not move forward. Our imagination can fuel the possibilities of today and tomorrow. Everyone needs and imagination in order for them to get through daily challenges where we need solutions. When we stop using our imagination we truly die inside. We are inspired and challenged when we imagine what can be done to make life better or to do something extraordinary. Don’t forget to use your imagination today for good, good people. As John Lennon once sang “Imagine All The People”

Daily Prompt: Present

Being present means being in the here and now. For many, me included, the past might be a more comforting place but the stark reality of what is currently happening keeps me at attention for what is going on moment by moment. Many people depend on us being present so that we may accomplish the work that needs to be done. Our lives can be impacted by the present situations we find ourselves in some of our own making some out of our control. No matter what we have to be present to our own lives.

Daily Prompt: Cavity

Sometimes one thing can lead to another. I broke a tooth recently and when my dentist took an x-ray of the messed up molar a tooth right next to it was discovered to have a cavity. I suppose I need to do a better job of taking care of my choppers/teeth. Cavities are expensive and painful. Too many of them would lead to something more extreme.
