To The WordPress Community

I have been impressed by what I have seen here the past few days. WordPress has some great people doing some great stuff online. I do have some questions about your experiences.

1. How often do you post? I tend to post a lot when I see things that inspire me. So its not uncommon for me to post 10 or more times in a day, is that too much? Is WordPress meant for fewer, more thought out posts?

2. The writers here are different than on Tumblr. I see a lot of indepth posts about various topics. My posts aren’t very long and that comes from my prior experiences with blogging.

3. What are your overall experiences with WordPress as a place where you can be social and develop connections with other bloggers? I have made friendships with people on other platforms like Multiply and now with Tumblr, What can I expect here?

If you have any other information you would like offer please do. Your perspective and opinion is appreciated. Thank you for all those who have connected with me in my very short time here.

  1. 1. How often do you post? It varies, but I try once a week.

    2. The writers here are different than on Tumblr: It’s a whole other jungle.

    3. What are your overall experiences with WordPress as a place where you can be social and develop connections with other bloggers? It’s really cool in that sense. It’s different from other social media platforms, but it can be quite fun ^_^

  2. 1. How often do you post? I usually post once a day but sometimes maybe twice. April is special since there are so many fun activities across the web. But mostly, once or twice a day.

    2. The writers here are different than on Tumblr. I don’t know, I’ve never been on Tumblr.

    3. What are your overall experiences with WordPress as a place where you can be social and develop connections with other bloggers? WordPress is a wonderful place to social especially for introvert like me. 😛 The good thing about wordpress is when something press the follow button, they don’t have to wait for it to get approved unlike Facebook which is very frustrating.

  3. 1. I try to post everyday, if not every other day.
    2. I don’t know anything at all about Tumblr, only that it’s another blogging site.
    3. WordPress is great! I’ve met a lot of people already in my almost two months of blogging here. People are very friendly and a lot are actually eager to read and comment on what you write. Facebook has been a great tool to use to spread the word about my blog. I’ve never used Twitter. I hope some of this helps :/

  4. I’ve also attended and even hosted my own weekend blog party. Both have turned out pretty well. They are great ways to network. I also think you get loyal readers and followers by commenting back on the comments they post about your writing, along with checking out their stuff from time to time and commenting and/or liking their stuff.

  5. I don’t post every day. The blog, “My Favorite Things” is where I post free digital art and PSP tubes/clip art for other digital artists to use in their projects. My other blog, “Straight from the Heart” is where I post my thoughts, poetry, and short articles. Hope you visit me there. I like what you post. I don’t think that ten short posts a day are too many. On the other hand, for me, ten very wordy posts would me too much for me to keep up with. I like short and simple. That’s what holds my attention. You’re doing great. You put a lot of happy energy into your posts. I like that!

  6. 1. I post whenever I feel like it, when a mood strikes and when I have time to do that.

    3. I first started posting on Google blogspot but had a feeling that it’s about the same as writing a journal on Microsoft Word; no socializing. Now that I’m posting on WordPress, I like the fact that it allows socializing and mutual feedback about posting. It’s very inspiring and keeps you going & posting.
