I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Love They Neighbor, Friends and Coworkers and Others

If a friend or coworker is of another faith or none at all don’t think how can I convert them, love them first and get to know them. Perhaps they have a good reason to believe the way they do. Your path to the afterlife is validated by respecting theirs. Love thy neighbor, as thyself… Jesus meant that. God is love and we should be that too.

National Best Friends Day….It’s OK Not To Be A Part Of That

Today is National Best Friend Day but it’s OK not to have a best friend. My spouse is my friend but not my bestie, that is a different sort of relationship that is way more intimate and special. I have always thought friendships are tough and demanding and in this temporal world we live in there is a lot of life transitions that define what and how long friendship is. I think there is pressure to maintain a platonic partnership like that because of the time and energy it takes. Some tandems have made it work over the years but others have gone their separate ways. It’s OK that I don’t have one. There is no sob story there. It is just the reality of my life.

This is good stuff. Peanut butter is life, unless you have an allergy to it. Man I could go for a PB and J.

Mystery Instagram Followers

For those on Instagram do you have a problem with mystery followers who seem to be spam-like and don’t have a conventional username? I get them frequently. Some promise more followers and others are kind of racy and sexy. I guess there are people on the Internet who want to exploit more than genuinely connect with others in a meaningful way. It’s kind of frustrating and annoying. But it’s a part of the web experience.
