Howdy Sunday

Hello friends and fellow bloggers I hope all is well today. A new week is upon us and new opportunities abound. I have a weird week ahead but it those times when routine is disrupted that takes the monotony out of life. Needless to say I will be on my toes.

Whatever you are doing today I hope you are having a good time doing it.  This morning we are off to breakfast and then church. The afternoon shall be one of leisure and getting a few things done.

Thank you for following along, I can never say that too much. Grace and peace good people. God bless.

A Passionate Person

Everyone has a passion. Those passions are as unique and different as the individual themselves. Sometimes we get over zealous about those passions and it can rub folks the wrong way. I am one of those over zealous nerds you hear something about. At times I can go overboard and I do fear that some folks will take it the wrong way. Keeping me accountable can be a chore. But you know its better in life for there to be people that care too much than to care too little…or something like that. Passionate people are what the world needs now, more than ever.

The Class of 2015, Welcome To Your New Adventure

High School seniors are graduating to the next phase of their lives around here. As they move on they will have decisions on their future to make. Some are going to college while others head to the workforce to make their contributions to society. They face a world that is increasingly complex both occupationally but socially too. Everything will change for them as the familiarity and routine of the classroom is replaced by having to make their own decisions and finding their own way. It’s my hope they will do amazing things to make the world a better place. Here’s to the class of 2015 and the challenges they face.

My Appreciation Of Women Who Blog

I am a 45 year old man which you would think I would be inspired by sports, cars and that sort of thing. Those things I do find interesting but when it comes to blogging I gravitate to websites featuring beauty, fashion, cooking and “girly things”. Yes I am not their target audience, but I think inspiration can come from surprising places. For me I enjoy the company of great women in my life, I find I relate better to women. Online this extends to my appreciation of women who blog.

This is not to say that men can’t get just as geeky but I just like the way women communicate online. I was raised by some great women so I am comfortable in learning more about the things women like. Visually the color and content of women who blog is very interesting. In my mind it transcends the traditional gender interests into something unique and personal. Yes my dude card was handed in years ago. I am not ashamed of that.

Perhaps its like that movie with Mel Gibson “What Women Want”. Gibson’s character had to understand women in order to speak to them in advertising. All men should seek to understand the things women like and what they think in order to have a better relationships and friendships with our wives, mothers, sisters, aunts, friends. There are differences and knowing what they are can build bridges of understanding and reduce conflict.

Here on WordPress its cool to see entire blogs focused on things that excite the author and makes them want to share it with everyone. I have always thought that fangirls are a great force for good in the world so I want to emulate that a little in what I do. So I look forward to exploring some great blogs written by some passionate people who just happen to be women. Thank you for putting up with a curious dude.
