Sometimes sacrifice is necessary for the greater good. Giving up some of what you have to make things better for all is a noble gesture. It’s not easy but the rewards are plenty. If one has lots and some have none then why not give to make everyone happy. Doesn’t a win-win situation work better than seeing suffering in the world. What’s in it for us is always better than a self-centered approach. Greed for lack of a better word is so not good, just saying.

Self Care, Just Saying
I have come to a realization that I need to be a part of things and people that feed my soul as I feed them. When you give and give it leaves you dry. This means setting some things aside for a season. I need to be cared for in as much as I care for others. You know that I’m not self centered but I need to focus on me so I can be the best I can be for others. I hope I’m making sense here. Thanks for your understanding.
Nice, Just Saying
I try to be positive, encouraging and kind. In the world that we live in today it’s needed. People need some grace and peace along with love to get them through.
Of course you have to stand up to those who bad things. Sometimes not being a nice guy can do a world of good when others are in harm’s way.
In the end how we treat others is a indelible legacy we leave behind. To me goodness is the real gold standard and the greatest fashion accessory. You are also never fully dressed without a smile.
Love one another that means all y’all.

I Wonder When, Just Saying
I wonder when there will be a time where we love our neighbor as ourselves and stop listening to those who give that commandment lip service. Too many believers are listening to politicians and pundits who espouse paranoia and hate. I think its time to turn weapons into plowshares, to end constant war to live in peace. We should should think of arms of love instead of arms of destruction.
Like Minded People, Just Saying
I am coming to a conclusion that I need and crave the company of like-minded people. Defending ones beliefs and opinions constantly is exhausting. Sure its good to have people who challenge you but I am kind of weary of the fear some have these days. It is really hard to be a progressive in a place where some folks are holding on to the old ways in a very aggressive way. I try to be open-minded but sometimes you have to make your stand to advance the cause of the least of these, the less fortunate, the person who is marching to the beat of their own drummer, the LGBTQ person, the people who want access to life, liberty and happiness. Yes I am a liberal and I wear that title proudly. May God bless and keep us all as we each try to figure this thing called life out.
