I’m glad it’s Friday but today seems a little freaky. Maybe with national and world events keeping many on edge it’s understandable. From impeachment to Brexit to the virus in China a lot of stuff is going on at the moment.
I suppose we need to be as resolute and do our parts to be kind and inspire some courage. Fear not good people. Grace and peace and love. Make it a good last day of January.
I am struggling to come up with clever titles for these posts about my time in exile from Facebook. At some point, I feel I will need to go back and say hi to my connections and do some massive surgery on my presence there. In the meantime, it’s all good for me not being in that space. Next week it will have been two months which is surprising. Thanks for your support in this time away from that all-consuming and controversial spot on the Interweb.
I am more of an old school blogger and less content creator. My writing is within the confines of creating a post of things I find sacred, serious and even silly. My posts are short and concise featuring writing, media and sometimes both. My goal is to be a good all-around blogger where I can connect with fellow bloggers and others.
To improve my blog what do you think about what I post here. My posts can be informative, inspirational, infuriating and other stuff that begins with the letter I. Thanks for your feedback. Anything you would improve upon?
Australia is facing the natural disaster of bushfires that are engulfing much of the country. This is one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the nation. People have lost their property and so much more. These fires have done much ecological damage to the nation including a severe impact on the animal population. Thoughts and prayers are cliches but the people of Oz could use as much as they can get. Also, you can provide practical support through donating to the Australian Red Cross if you can.
NSW, Victoria and South Australia are waking up to widespread fire damage, an emergency on the biggest scale our nation has ever seen. #9Newspic.twitter.com/ya8EOPKFUk
It’s been 5 weeks since my Facebook fast and I am not missing it much. Believe me its done wonders for my mental health and has helped me focus on my blogging which is a good thing. At some point, I am going to have to deal with it and pare it down to something I don’t have to tend. Right now my profile is deactivated so nothing is lost. As for now, I am keeping on this course.
