Daily Prompt: Bottle

My emotions and feelings you can find in a bottle. Yeah as a man sometimes I keep stuff there. You know we aren’t always good at sharing and that sort of thing. Putting a cap on that bottle keeps everything inside, makes life less messy. You know it harms the person and the people they love when they keep things bottled up. However it’s what many people do. I even preach its OK to share the spiritual and emotional load with others but I suck at practicing that. Bottles come in handy for drinking stuff too so you can handle your life that way too.

Six Word Story

Happiness and gratitude are very interconnected.

Something About Connecting

It’s amazing that if you have a great many followers that you only seem to get a fraction of them interacting. Sometimes having more following means less connecting. Quality seems to be the ideal whereas quantity is not all it’s cracked up to be. So the more the merrier might not apply in every situation.

For a personal blogger the rules are different than that of a business or commercial blogger. Making friends is something they both want to do but for different reasons. I have a lot of followers but seem to connect with just a small portion of those who are following. It’s funny how that works.

Thanks Facebook For Letting Me Know About Unfriending

I got this on my Facebook recently.  After un-friending someone they seem to make you want to feel guilty for doing so. You can un-follow, meaning you won’t see their posts but you remain friends which I have done a lot lately. However you just need to disconnect from someone for your own reasons. I think Facebook has been a hotbed and a petri dish for political and religious discussion which is not always friendly. Passions run red hot there and sometimes disconnecting is what is best for relationships and online enjoyment. It is sad when you have to end a online connection but there are plenty more to make out there.

This Is My Blog, Not Facebook

My blog is my blog and I won’t have any sort of arguments in the comments in my posts. This is not Facebook. My posts are my opinions and everything I write comes from my heart and head. I reserve the rights to shut off comments and to delete them too if it warrants it. Trolls seem to be out there wanting to make life hard for people online.

Friends I feel very deeply and conflict is something I am so not comfortable with. A post I wrote about The Children of Manchester somehow became the focus of a back and forth argument between two bloggers. One blogger also had issues with what I said in my post and you know I don’t mind a little criticism here and there but not when it puts into doubt my intelligence and understanding of the issues of the day I am not cool with that.

Well, I have a lot invested in my blog and this is my digital home so I won’t be moved or discouraged from speaking my mind.

Oh by the way I am a liberal and this blog is very left-of-center so you know what you are getting here.

Thanks For Paying Attention Anyway

When someone is critical of a post or ones work that is their opinion, but it can be a learning experience. A critique of your writing can make you better although it can sting at first. I am not the greatest blogger but I try to be open, friendly and informed as much as I can be. I blog from my heart and facts can be missed in points I’m trying to convey. As I said to a blogger punctuation is my kryptonite and I need to brush up on things that I’m writing about. You don’t have to agree with everything I say and that’s OK. Thanks for paying attention anyway. Keep on blogging.
