My faith says “fear not” but when it comes to things that can harm you or threaten you then you must be smart, vigilant, and careful. Fear is healthy and can protect you from harm. Fear of the Coronavirus makes sense and can save your life. Fear the virus because there is not a cure or vaccine for it yet. Take care of yourself.

Sunday Reflection: Identity #SundayReflection
Identity is more than your name, it’s about who you belong to, organizations you are members of and what you believe in, your ethnic group and other attributes. All those things influence you and is a part of how you interact with others. Your identity is like a personal brand that can give you some belonging to a group of people or it can set you apart from the crowd.
For me being a part of a loving family, membership in God’s family, who I work for and the community I live in can give you a sense of what I am all about. Taking those things seriously has given me an identity that I can share with others.
The other side of identity is that you might find yourself focusing on those things that give you belonging, and you might lose a sense of you are as a human being. I don’t think your identity should be a tool that excludes but it can be a way of inviting others to have a vision of the possibilities for them.
Let your identity be who you are but know it can be expanded and new things can be added to your life’s resume. Be proud of who you are but also be humble because other people have their own unique identity too.
Writing The Story Of 2020
Whoever in the hell is writing this episode of life called 2020 has done their job. They can put down their pen or step away from their keyboard. What we have seen in these months can only come from someone like Stephen King. Think about all that is happened, and it seems like a fever dream.
From COVID to the presidential elections to our own personal situations it’s been a tough year for us all.
Each day that passes is a new page, each month is a new chapter. What is being written is scary. Every morning you arise you wonder what chaos will meet you. So far 2020 isn’t a rom com.
As a blogger, I get to chronicle all the weird stuff that has happened. I am hoping for more positive things for the future. Part of that writing is a history of what we have all been through. Some of it is unbelievable.
I am not certain 2021 will be much better. I hope that won’t be a sequel but a whole new story with fresh ideas and new directions.
Quote Of The Day
In the last analysis, the individual person is responsible for living his own life and for finding himself. If he persists in shifting his responsibility to somebody else, he fails to find out the meaning of his own existence.

Not My Best Moment, I Told Someone To Go To Hell
Last night I told someone to go to hell. Yep, you read that right. I told someone on Facebook who is an acquaintance of a friend of mine to go to hell. My reason was that she was not being nice. Her unwavering devotion to the current President of the United States she was saying some very mean and nasty things about Joe Biden. I realize that people say mean things about The President too but that is for another post.
Needless to say, it was not my best moment, but I was sticking up for my friend and the debate had me a little emotionally charged.
Being human means that you are going to make mistakes and do things that you shouldn’t. I know I disappointed and surprised some people.
This makes me feel like a hypocrite for being a believer and not showing kindness and love to my neighbor. Believe me this makes me feel embarrassed. My friends I need to do better.
