Today is World Emoji Day which is kinda cool. I use them sparingly because I prefer to use words in my communications. Symbolic communication is nothing new but this method of expression is as popular as it ever been. Short form messaging is aided in the use of Emojis so it can be helpful. So happy Emoji everyone.

Life is so fast paced and hectic so when you get a chance to take your time and set your own pace why not do that. Maybe we need to amble more instead of running and speeding through our day to day existence. Do this especially when visiting a museum or taking a walk on a trail. Learn to savor, experience and be open to all the things you are encountering because you may not see them again.

You can only say “no” too many times before people stop asking you to be a part of something. I understand too well that saying “yes” too many times can deplete your mind, body and soul. Saying “no” frequently means giving up possible opportunities that can change your life and the lives of others.
The solution could be prioritizing ones life so that there can be some balance but even then its easy to decline instead of accept. Professionally you have to say yes every now and then to indicate you still have interest in growth and advancement in your chosen field. Personally it means giving value to relationships of family and friends that you want to be a part of their lives. Just saying “no” just to say “no” out of habit can be a problem for you down the road.
It takes courage either way to say yes and to say no. You just have to figure out what means more to you.
Having a holiday in the middle of the week seemed to make this week go by faster. Nonetheless we made it Friday. I hope all of you will have a great day as we head into the weekend. For those of you working Saturday and Sunday have the best days possible.
