I am back at work today after the 3-Day Christmas weekend. Today is kind of icky out so perhaps work is the best place to be, maybe. Having another day off would have been good but duty calls. Let’s see what goodness I can do today with my team at work.
This is the last week of the year, let that sink in for a minute. I will have another 3-day weekend for New Years Day and I’m looking forward to it.
Grace and peace to each of you today. Have the best day possible. Let’s do this.
Why do heroes have to be portrayed as ridiculously good looking people. I think in the world we live in today we can see something different. Really, can’t we have an average looking person save the day? Heroes can come in all types I think. What do you think?
I hope each of you have had a great Christmas day. To those who don’t celebrate I hope you enjoyed your day doing whatever was on your heat.
For me it’s been a time of celebrating with family and enjoying being together. We went to my parents house to celebrate the day by having breakfast, opening gifts and having Christmas dinner. It has been very rainy here which has made things very interesting. I am kind of tired of the weather lately. I am ready for some dry days where you can get out and about.
My friends, thank you for sharing my day and for your feedback. It’s days like this where blogging is quite awesome.
Perception is a very tricky thing. The appearance of a thing is not always what that thing is truly about. There could be more to the story. Everyone has to overcome perceptions about ourselves that can lead to misunderstandings or worse. Just because it looks weird doesn’t mean it always is weird.
Maybe asking questions and not jumping to conclusions can help one understand what is going on in any situation. Everything about us is judged and that is unfair but it’s a reality. You have to watch your p’s and q’s as they say so that people won’t think bad things about you or anything you might be doing. It’s a bad thing that perception and judging are close cousins if not siblings.
Festivus is both a parody and a secular holiday celebrated on December 23 that serves as an alternative to participating in the pressures and commercialism of the Christmas season. It has been described as “the perfect secular theme for an all-inclusive December gathering”. This was introduced to the masses in a Seinfeld episode titled “The Strike”. From Wikipedia
Air your grievances, exhibit fetes of strength and celebrate around the Festivus pole! Happy Festivus to you all good people.
Howdy there friends, I hope all is well today. Here it is dreary, damp and gray outside. Fits the mood of the season right? My last few weeks of work have been productive and successful. I am grateful for all of that. As the holidays approach routines will change and there are challenges from that. My goal is to finish the year strong, or something like that.
Have a swell day, keep your eye on the prize and may you find peace and grace in all your situations. Let love rule. God bless.
