If you want to display something like the 10 Commandments in public, study them, live them, make them manifest physically. If you want prayer in schools, just pray anytime when others aren’t looking. If you want your faith to matter in the world make it worth believing. If you want people to embrace your faith share it in practical, meaningful, simple ways that will bring people to the table. If you want there to be more love in the world do it like Jesus, Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, Jr and Pope John Paul II did. Remember the greatest thing you can do is to love and love fiercely.

A Place Where We Want To Live
There has been a lot happening in the last few days. Some people had their world opened up while others seems to be in an alien land, well different from what they had always known. People who are different want to live equally in community with others and to have some human dignity.
Many people have more resources available to them that were once reserved for a few. What we have here is a selfishness that has been in play for years. I want people on the fringes to have what others have, acceptance, inclusion, love. The faith I ascribe to is one where God loves everyone, inclusion is the norm and hate and exclusion are shunned. The world is full of people who want the world to be their way, for people who are only like them. We need community to love the freaks and geeks like me.
Right now there is war and rumor of war along with a lot of hunger and famine and there is something we can do about it. We have to be the peace we want to see. Now is the time to make this world a place where we want to live and that place is for everyone.
Howdy Monday
Hello friends, I hope your weekend was good and that your week has started well. Somehow I think today is going to be a long one, well I think that about every Monday. This past weekend was just a good one and I wouldn’t mind going back there for another few hours.
Lots of things are occupying our hearts and minds lately and we are having a time making sense of it all. The best thing I can say is to love your neighbor as yourself and to observe the golden rule. Also don’t panic or fret, don’t borrow trouble because the interest rate is sky high.
We can make it through the day with grace and peace…and some love. Have a great day good people.
Rock on!

A Reflection on This Day of Equality
I am seeing the LGBTQ community today and their elation of the events of the day and I see the joy and love happening here…then I compare that to the Christian community and I don’t see that so much. Many are so mired down in their dogma and the things they have been taught from time and memorial and they just seem so sad. They feel that what is happening is the downfall of society and that wrath will be unleashed.
I am a believer in God’s story being written daily and that maybe love is more important than theology or doctrine so perhaps we should celebrate that fact. People get to love who they choose and I know God has brought them together for a purpose to change the world for the better. Maybe Christians should learn from the LGBTQ community and figure out how to find joy like that so they too can do amazing things like inclusion and justice.
Just my two cents worth.
Love Wins Today, Love Does Win
A Bloggers Frustration: Quick Feedback
It is frustrating when you visit a blog where you can’t like the post or leave feedback easily. Blogging on a network like WordPress or Tumblr gives you a sense of connection and community that is hard to do with some platforms and self hosted blogs. I think you can install the WordPress jetpack to connect it with WordPress.com or another service like Disqus where you can plug in a commenting app to your blog.
Perhaps this is a silly first world problem but you know I am kind of digitally lazy like that. However giving the reader the opportunity for instant feedback can give your blog a better feel of interactiveness.
Comments and likes are feedback which is the life blood of many blogs and their writers. They need it to help guide their posts and writings. So a quick feedback is better than nothing at all. So I think.
