The thing about overwhelming evil is that those who perpetrate it come from a place that what they think is the only thing that matters. Asserting what they believe and imposing that belief on others even when it causes great pain is just a horrible thing to do. People deserve to live without people in the shadows plotting against them and stripping their dignity, freedom and choice of life. Today I was reminded of how very damaged people exert revenge on the world because they feel the need to make others hurt.

Tarnished Icons
Bill Cosby was found guilty of 3 counts of sexual assault. Bill Cosby is also an American entertainment icon who was an influencer and noted citizen, now he faces prison. He like others who are icon’s of culture and have been accused or found guilty of abuse face a new life where they are tarnished and their legend is now a shell of what it once was.
The #MeToo movement has heightened the level of accountability and bringing situations to light that previously were hidden and cloaked. Today one of the great entertainers of our time faces time in prison. Just imagine how many others have gotten away with things because of fear or intimidation.
No woman should face any situation where they are made to feel intimidated, scared or assaulted. Powerful men have taken advantage of their situation for way too long. It’s truly a shame that the Cosby’s of the world have previously gotten away with such behavior.
Tarnished icons, famous people, powerful people are now on notice and for all who have faced a dangerous world maybe things are going to get better.
Service To One Another, There’s Lots Of Good In It
Serving others is a way of bringing peace into the world. When you help your brothers and sisters in humanity you bring them into a place where they can help others too and the cycle keeps on going. If everyone serves then the load is lighter and the work gets done faster. In scripture it says the generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.
Sharing what you have by giving of your time and talents is a great thing to do for others and the world. Doing for others means doing for yourself. There’s lots of good in being there for others and working to make the world a better place.
No Ordinary Friday…It’s Friday The 13th!
Today is Friday the 13th (cue ominous music). This is most superstitious of days. For some this is not a pleasant day but for others it isn’t so bad. It’s fun to look at all these things you aren’t supposed to do today but could taking it seriously also be a wise thing to do? No matter your own personal take on today I hope it’s a good one free from all the crazy, mysterious stuff.
Oh, Hello Monday, It’s You Again
Guess what? It’s Monday again. Let’s greet Monday as a new day although we wish we could pretend it isn’t Monday. All I hope is that Monday will be good to me and I will try to be good to it. Have a great day everyone. Grace, peace and love.
Yet Another Theme Change…
I wanted to do something different than just a blog and to challenge my ability to take a stock theme and customize it to the way I wanted it to look. Using the Sela theme that is somewhat light and airy I tweaked it using some CSS and gave it the Tony touch. The blog functions as a website as well as a blog so I have the best of both worlds. Let me know how you like it and is it easy to navigate. Thanks for putting up with my changing stuff around. As long as you can read it on all your devices that is what I am going for.
