Good Friday To You Good People

Well it’s our friend Mr. Friday. I’m always glad when he’s here. He brings good stuff mostly like coffee and pay day. For those of us on Twitter things are a little worrisome with all the chaos. Who knows what will happen. Let’s hope for the best. Have a great day everyone. Love and peace.

Logging Off Twitter

I decided to log off Twitter for a while. Lots of doom scrolling going on there it is not good for me or anyone. It’s a platform that seems to be getting full of negative stuff. Of course, I will miss the breaking news there, but you know there are other ways of finding out about what’s going on in the world.

Forty-Four Billion

As you may or may not know Elon Musk who is the richest person in the world is going to buy Twitter for a staggering $44 billion. Some would say it’s his money and he has a right to do with it as he pleases. But just think about what could be done to change the world other than buying a social network built on binary code and algorithms.

Homes, hospitals, and schools could be built in developing countries. People could have food on their tables by investing in farms and food programs for the poor. Research to heal people of diseases could be done and so much more. Lots of stuff could be done and I wish his money could go to all that.

My dad was a big fan of Elon because of Tesla and SpaceX. I don’t have a great deal of faith in him owning something so powerful that can impact the minds and hearts of already fragile people. Of course, we will have to wait and see what will happen to Twitter and those who use it daily for connection and community.

Safe Space To Express On The Intertubes

Everyone needs a place to express themselves online. A place to post whatever your heart wants. The problem comes when you have family members who want to see what you post but you would rather them not. Whether it be your blog or Twitter having the freedom to express yourself without having to say you are sorry or to be criticized for it. You don’t have to explain your opinions because they are your opinions and they should be not up for debate.

Six Word Story

There is an art to commenting.

Quote Of The Day

Social media enables us to talk about issues, shine a light on problems, and raise awareness of struggles that might have gone unnoticed. On the flipside, it also allows for a lot of noise and distractions. Sometimes it doesn’t create the best environment for a healthy discussion and can lead to trolling.
