Continuing to Mourn President Jimmy Carter

Just because it’s Inauguration Day doesn’t mean the time of mourning isn’t over for the recent passing of President Jimmy Carter. Flags are supposed to be flying at half-mast but some places governors due to political concerns have ordered them to full-mast because of Monday’s events in Washington, DC. President Carter is a great man who deserves to be remembered and properly honored. For all he did in his life, he deserves better.
Remembering D-Day, France 1944
Eighty years ago thousands of men from all walks of life and from several allied countries stormed the beach at Normandy, France for the largest amphibian operation in history. Thousands died that day and for those who are still living the memory of that day of horror and pain lives on. To all those men there that day, thank you for defending things like freedom, and democracy. You challenged evil and won. Well done troops.
Super Tuesday Voting – Democracy In Action In America
Fifteen states and a U.S. territory hold their 2024 nominating contests on Super Tuesday this year. We went to the polls after work and voted on the Democratic ballot. Federal, state, and local races were on the ballot in many places. I couldn’t stomach voting for any Republican in their primary this year. They aren’t worth it. Maybe one day they will be redeemed. Democracy is important and always matters.
Support Ukraine Now

The United States is not doing its part to support Ukraine as of late. Republicans in charge of the US House of Representatives are the problem. The longer it takes to get supplies to the Ukrainian military the more Russian forces advance and capture more territory making life hard for the citizens of the war-torn country. Other countries are taking the lead and thank goodness. Ukrainians need material support and prayers to get them through this horrible time in their history.
Russian citizens are not the enemy. It’s Putin who is using the military to advance his evil aims. Every day Russians are subject to sanctions and I would think they would rather not be.
Support Ukraine now and in the future.
